Sleeve notes

Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin...

The record you have in your hands has been a long time coming - a lifetime in fact. The bits & pieces that have stuck with us whilst the rest fell away. Why these songs? Why in this order? I dunno - it just kind of felt right to us this way. Is it an accident that we start with the "boys & girls come out to play" romp of Carl Orff & finish up nearly 2 hours later with the mid-life angst of Neil Sedaka "Going Nowhere"? Probably... but then Ronald Binge comes to the rescue & takes us on a sea cruise - so what does that mean? It means nothing & it means everything. The music on this compilation has been chosen to make you laugh, cry, dance & sire children - sometimes all within the course of a single song. Some of the artists you may never have heard of, others may be familiar but they might not sound the way you expect them to. They're a disparate bunch... but they've all got one thing in common: we love them.

And if you give them a chance we think you could come to love them too.

Thanks for your attention, Jarvis & Steve.
