I love this song. I remember that when I saw Pulp for the second time in Sydney in...'98, I think, i vowed that if they played this song, then I would quit the dead end call-centre job that I was in at the time. They didn't play it, and so further months of telemarketing hell were fine till I was thankfully fired.

It upsets me that Jarvis has said that he doesn't like this song. Perhaps you would be embarrassed about a song were stuck with it and the impassioned vocal that you'd matched it to. But I think he's being silly.

This song gave me a light in the darkness that was '97/'98, so I'll love it forever.
