Canadian festival

Jarvis and his band will play the Virgin Festival at Deer Lake Park in Vancouver, Canada on 26th July. This precedes three US concert dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

More radio sessions

Tuesday, 9th June - Jarvis and his band will be playing live on the Marc Riley show. Listen on BBC 6 Music from 7pm.

Saturday, 13th June - Jarvis will play an acoustic session on Dermot O'Leary's BBC Radio 2 show at 3pm.

Thursday, 18th June - Absolute Radio with Geoff Lloyd at 5pm. It's not yet clear whether this is a live session or just an interview with Jarvis.
UPDATE: This information turned out to be incorrect as Jarvis did not feature in the programme.

Radcliffe & Maconie Radio Session

Jarvis and his band will perform live in session on Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie's BBC Radio 2 show from 8pm on Monday 8th of June.

Live - updates

Jarvis' concert at Blackpool Empress Ballroom on the 10th of June has been postponed. There has not yet been any explanation as to why.

Jarvis to play Glastonbury

It is reported that Jarvis will headline the John Peel stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival. He will play on the Saturday night (27 June).

The last time Jarvis played at Glastonbury was 11 years ago with Pulp in 1998 (although he has appeared as a DJ since).

Jarvis Loose Ends

Jarvis will be a guest on BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends programme. It will be broadcast on May 16 at 18:15 and will feature an interview and live performance.

Also, on Tuesday 18th May, at about 17:45, Jarvis will be on the Steve Lamacq show (BBC 6 Music). He will play a live acoustic session. More details.

Rough Trade East in-store

Jarvis will play an in-store performance at Rough Trade East, London, on 16th May to promote the release of his new album.

Don't forget to purchase the album on the day of the in-store at Rough Trade East and collect your wristband for the instore performance at the same time, or collect your wristband 1 hour prior to gig, first-come-first-served-basis- one per person

You can buy the record & pick up a wristband from the man himself, from 4pm onwards (Jarvis is helping out behind the counter).

US dates

Jarvis will play the following three dates:

• 27 July - The Wiltern, Los Angeles
• 28 July - The Fillmore, San Francisco
• 30 July - Terminal 5, New York

Jarvis at Galerie Chappe, Paris, May 5 to 10

Jarvis and his band will be resident at Galerie Chappe in Paris between May 5 and 10, 2009. They will be there each day between about 12 noon and 6/7pm. They plan to host a series of activities and events that will attempt to answer the question "What is music?".

Activities that will take place include:

• They will conduct public rehearsal sessions
• Members of the public will be able to bring an instrument and play along with the band
• Guest musicians will be invited to come along and play
• They will improvise based on titles and themes suggested by visitors
• There will be Yoga, pilates and relaxation classes with live musical accompaniment
• One afternoon the band will supervise a number of music-based activities for children

The gallery will also display a selection of photographs by Rankin shot for Jarvis' new album Further Complications.
